Our client is a north east based manufacturing company, working with original equipment manufacturers across the world, they provide parts to critical industries.
Following an emergency within their workshop, we were called out by our client due to a hydraulic hose assembly end connection detaching itself from its hose.
This had resulted in the ferrule splitting in half which led to the complete failure of the hydraulic system
Pressure spikes can occur in hydraulic systems, the most severe of which are generated by rapid changes in system flow.
Our technicians arrived on site following the emergency call out and discovered that the failure had been caused due to trapped air in the hydraulic fluid which resulted in a large pressure spike, this in turn had split the ferrule.
We quickly identified the parts required, assembled a replacement hose along with end fittings etc and installed successfully to the system.
Due to the fast response from our technicians, our client experienced minimum downtime, ensuring their production line was up and running within only a couple of hours from their initial call.
Due to being a part of the R&G Fluid Power Group, our stock capacity and supply chain opportunities throughout the UK ensures that our clients receive the very best response and cost-effective materials to solve their problems and requirements.
“Emergency call outs can be a really interesting part of the job for our team as you don’t know what the next request is going to be. This example proves how adept our team are, with the production line back up and running within two hours, we certainly had a happy client”
