We were delighted to recently take part in the Advanced Manufacturing Forum’s ‘Making Owt’ exhibition.
As new members of the business development group, this was a fantastic opportunity for us to get to know fellow members, network and find out more about the opportunities within the forum.
The ‘Making Owt’ exhibition was designed to bring together engineering and manufacturing companies within the group, the day also consisted of matchmaking events, 60 second pitches, 1-2-1 sessions and speakers from Port of Sunderland, Dogger Bank and more.
The event was a different format to usual exhibitions with there being no actual ‘general admission delegates’, while this was a risk on behalf of the organisers, the format worked particularly well, with all attendees speaking to each other on business issues, supply chain opportunities and opportunities to work together.
HOS sales & marketing executive, Nicola Halse, attended the event and commented, “We were delighted to exhibit at the event and get to know fellow AMF members, it gave us a great opportunity to share what we do and how we can potentially work with other companies within the group.
The speakers from Port of Sunderland and Dogger Bank gave a great insight into the work currently being undertaken in the north east and the opportunities for the wider supply chain.
A great event which we’re hoping to attend again next year, well done to the AMF team for organising.”
