Successful solution to subsea vessel problem reached by HOS

23rd May 2021

Introduction

Our client is a UK based marine company, they provide design and build services to national and international clients across the world in the marine, offshore & subsea sectors.

The Problem

Our client approached us as they had recently started to design vessel subsea deployment equipment and required guidance on suitable hose assemblies and related fittings.
A solution was required to ensure mediums could be carried at 10 bar working pressure to meet the demanding needs of their clients within safety critical industries.

The Solution

Following research by the HOS team, we specified flexible jumper hose assemblies and related fittings in order to carry air and nitrogen at 10 bar working pressure through the subsea equipment.
Over 200 hose assemblies were manufactured by HOS on site, these were then static pressure tested and tagged.
HOS technicians then installed spiral guard loop around the assemblies to simplify the final installation.
The assemblies were also tested for integrity and quality assurance.

Summary

Due to the experience and dedication of the HOS technical team, our customer successfully manufactured and delivered their vessel subsea equipment to their client ensuring highly critical work could take place across the globe.

“Our customers’ requirement was particularly challenging given the demanding nature of the environment of the equipment however with our experience and dedication I’m delighted we reached a successful outcome for our customer.”
