High temperature application problem solved by HOS

20th April 2022

Introduction

Our client is a UK based hot mould tool manufacturer who have been a valued customer for over 10 years.

The Problem

Our client owned tooling which had originally been fitted by the original tool manufacturer with nylon hose & related push-in fittings.

Due to the high working temperature of the application, our client was continually having to replace hose assemblies during production.

This was causing our client cost and efficiency problems, they approached ourselves to investigate the problem.

The Solution

Our team of technicians surveyed a number of systems and offered a suitable long term solution including removing all of the existing  flexible jumper hose assemblies and refitting the system with smooth bore PTFE line, stainless steel overbraid hose assemblies.

Each assembly was measured on site and outfitted in line with our clients production schedule. All assemblies were also tagged and recorded onto individual hose registers for future stock replenishment and routine maintenance.

Summary

The high temperature is now causing no issues with damage to hose assemblies therefore saving our client time, cost savings and zero downtime.

“We’re delighted that our recommendation and subsquent installation of hose assemblies has ensured our client suffers zero downtime and is able to continue with uninterrupted production in their facility.”
