Introduction
Our client is a world leader in the global offshore energy market. Based in the UK they provide design and build services of bespoke technology and equipment.
The Problem
To ensure uninterrupted service to our clients production, they required a refurbishment of their valve packs.
This proactive approach is something we urge our clients to take, this ensures longevity of any systems within the workshop and also upholds all health and safety compliance.
Our team decommissioned the valve pack and returned this to our workshop at Sunderland.
The Solution
Working at our Sunderland base and manufacturing facility, our team started to work on the pack, this involved:
- Strip & Inspect the pack
- Remove fittings and valves
- Remove thread inserts
- Dip to remove current coating
- Inspect for any damage to casing
- Clean all fittings and valves
- Hard black Anodise
- Fit new Heli coils
- Reseal including new cover plate O Rings.
- Relief valves set in accordance with system design
- Function test
Summary
The planned work carried out by our team ensured that our client experienced zero downtime on their output. Their production was not impacted and their proactive approach ensured we carried out work on their asset management at a time and date convenient for them.
“This is the kind of approach we love from our clients – proactive as opposed to reactive. Our services with regards to asset management ensure our clients experience zero downtime in their production and can be carried out at a time suitable for them.”
