Love being on the move, helping people, fancy a role that’s full of variety.  We’re on the lookout for a driver to join our great team at HOS.  You would get the variety of driving and warehouse tasks to support our operations.  This is a part time role, with the possibility of becoming full time.

Skills & Requirements

We need someone reliable, practical, and ready to hit the ground running. Here’s what the role involves:

Safe Transportation & Timely Deliveries
  • Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with traffic laws
  • Plan efficient routes and stick to delivery schedules to ensure prompt customer deliveries
  • You’ll need: Valid UK driving license (clean record preferred), excellent road awareness, and the ability to work to deadlines
Product Handling & Warehouse Support
  • Handle goods with care during loading, transport, and unloading
  • Secure and organise products within the delivery vehicle
  • Assist with warehouse operations including stock organisation and inventory management
  • You’ll need: Physical fitness to lift and move heavy objects
Customer Service & Documentation
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a courteous, professional approach
  • Maintain accurate delivery records including PODs and signed receipts
  • Complete all paperwork correctly and submit promptly
  • You’ll need: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and good organisation
Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any issues immediately
  • Follow all company policies and transportation regulations
  • You’ll need: A proactive, reliable approach
Problem-Solving & Teamwork
  • Resolve delivery issues quickly, from navigation challenges to unexpected delays
  • Work flexibly as part of a team or independently using your own initiative
  • You’ll need: Quick decision-making skills, flexibility, and adaptability
Essential
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Physical fitness for manual handling
Desirable
  • Delivery driving or warehouse experience
  • Knowledge of Sunderland and surrounding areas
